Teaser Tuesday - Sep 24

Teaser Tuesday

The rules are:
  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) 'teaser' sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title and author of the book that you’re getting your 'teaser' from .. that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you've given!
Honor was hoping to surprise the Haymakers with blackberry junket, a sieving of the berries to turn them into a thick paste that concentrated the nutty flavour. She began to suspect, however, that these berries would be better for jelly or cordial.
Another teaser from our book group book of the month - Tracy Chevalier's The Last Runaway - Honor still adjusting to the American way.

I've always wondered about junket. So it's not like jelly? I need to look up a recipe. Excellent teaser. Hope you're enjoying the book.

I want to read this book.

I think a junket is a bit like yogurt so fairly close to a jelly at least for where you'd eat it in a meal. Thanks both for the visit & comments! The book is being enjoyed from a UK perspective and an American in the book group spoke well of it.
