Teaser Tuesday - 11 August

Teaser Tuesday

The rules are:
  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) 'teaser' sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title and author of the book that you’re getting your 'teaser' from .. that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you've given!
Three rows each of potatoes, turnips, globe artichokes, carrots and what might be celeriac. Jay seeded marigolds between the rows of potatoes to eliminate beetles and lemon balm around the carrots for the slugs.
.. no, not a gardening book but more of Joanne Harris's Blackberry Wine.
I'va also nearly completed this:
Just like gold and silver, brown does not belong to the classic color spectrum. Still it is one of the most expressive and richly nuanced colors.
Another deceptive extract - the book has a great spiritual depth - Richard Rohr and Andreas Ebert - The Enneagram A Christian Perspective (try to ignore the broken https security certificate on the link!).

Those are both good teasers. The Joanne Harris book definitely sounds interesting.

I'm getting to be not sure about the Joanne Harris - now that I'm into the final 30 or so pages. Have a horrible feeling that gypsies are going to be a deus ex machina as in Chocolat - let's hope I'm proved wrong!
