A couple more pictures of Scargill from our last visit.
But it's the people and the environment that will form the enduring memory.

I still can't hear the sound of a cattle grid without being taken back - both a sign of arriving and one of departure down that narrow country road into whatever was to come.

I was on community at Scargill 1999-2002, very sad to hear it's closing. I had already uploaded a few photographs to Geograph - link: http://www.geograph.org.uk/gridref/SD9771 - and will probably add more now.
