Teaser Tuesday
The rules are:
- Grab your current read.
- Let the book fall open to a random page.
- Share with us two (2) 'teaser' sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
- You also need to share the title and author of the book that you’re getting your 'teaser' from .. that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you've given!
He had gone into every late or early public-house where there was a light (they were not a few at that time, the road being then much frequented by drovers), and had got down to talk to the turnpike-keepers. I had heard him ordering drink, and clinking money, and making himself agreeable and merry everywhere; but whenever he took his seat upon the box again, his face resumed its watchful steady look, and he always said to the driver in the same business tone, 'Get on, my lad!'In search of someone...
