Teaser Tuesday - 10 March

Teaser Tuesday

The rules are:
  • Grab your current read.
  • Let the book fall open to a random page.
  • Share with us two (2) 'teaser' sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
  • You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your 'teaser' from .. that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you've given!

And a swift turn from the previous two postings...
Exactly, Mack, so don't beat yourself up. Something may come to mind later

From Wm Paul Young's The Shack - our current book group book. People seem to have crawled all over this book seeking heresy, complaints about God as a black woman - to this Britisher - the Trinity as a Americans is far more suspect!!
Not sure about heaven as a grand family reunion either - which underlies much of it - but it is definitely worth a read!

I just got this book in the mail a few days ago. I won it in a contest, but I'm not sure when I'm going to read it because I've heard such differing opinions about it.

I have not read this book either. When people tell me I must read this book to be changed forever, I tend to be skeptical.

My take on this book was that it probably wouldn't bring any new converts, but I did like the way the author extrapolated the parent/child relationship as a way to reveal God's love of all of his children. As a new parent, that really got to me in a good, I-would-do-anything-to-protect-my-child kind of way.
